PHASE 1: CONCEPT
On our first meeting our first priority is to ask questions and listen. What we are looking to learn is the following
- What you like and don’t like
- Why you want what you want
- What is your personal style
- Your budget
ESTABLISHING YOUR STYLE
Establishing your personal style does not need to be overly complicated.
We suggest setting up a simple “Pinterest” account and literally save anything and everything that you like.
Over time you will notice a pattern beginning to emerge.
We will then set up a new folder called “New Home Mood Board”, in the design world a mood board is exactly what it sounds like.
This Mood board folder is now a very easy reference tool for us (less room for misinterpretation)
PHASE 2: DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
This size of the room determines the size of the furniture and where it should be positioned.
Good design addresses Form, Fit and Function, and becoming spatially aware speaks to all three.
With this in mind you should consider the following tips so that your room flows and functions properly BEFORE you start choosing any furniture items.
- Where are the entry/exit points
- Can you flow through the space easily and efficiently
- Is the chosen layout conducive to the intended use of the space
Here is where we explore the fabrics, timbers, colours, and textures to ensure that you end up with a cohesive home.
A finishes board is created at this point and you will be supplied with a flat lay to see all elements
We will schedule and deliver a list of all items including quantities for you to ensure that there is zero confusion.
PHASE 3: PROCUREMENT
We will submit your selected items for pricing, and then provide you with a quotation
PROCUREMENT & INSTALLATION
All purchase orders will be placed including delivery instructions.
We will install and style all of the pieces including the artworks, and mirrors as per our plan.
